The Devil Who Tame Her - Johanna Lindsey

I don't really remember when did I buy this book but I bought it because it's about another character (who is the troublemaker) in The Heir, also by Johanna Lindsey. As usual, I like to keep track on other characters in each book that I've read. Which is one of the reason I love Johanna Lindsey's book!

Since I read The Heir first before this book, I though that I knew quite well about Ophelia Reid.
She a beauty, ridiculously beautiful that even girls likes to flock around her. Gentlemen seems to keep on asking her for her hand in marriage. And she keeps on rejecting them, over and over again.
She also likes rumour. She loves spreading rumours, even she knew it's not a bit less true. She doesn't have any TRUE friends since her so call friends just want to be famous by been seeing with her around the ball!

She is The Popular Girl. And she HATE it!

Which is why AFTER I've read The Devil Who Tame Her, I can understood why she's what she is then. I'm glad that Raphael Locke, Viscount Lynnfield actually SAW something in her.

Ophelia was engaged with Rafe's friend (MacTavish who is the hero in The Heir). It was an arranged marriage between two family but Ophelia was so opposed with the idea that she spreading rumours which caused a scandal just to avoid this marriage (it's a habit she had - a very bad habit indeed)When the rumours backfire, she run away! She cried her heart out and was comforted by Rafe himself. At that time I think he felt something for Ophelia. Somehow he got into a bet with his friend, that he can change her to a kind-hearted lady (which he succeed) and end up falling for her too!

Sometimes beauty is a curse and Ophelia thinks that too... It's a bane for some people and if no one can trust and care enough to understand, it can make you the worst kind of people. Don't you think so?

Read it and found out more about Ophelia and Rafe!

Let Love Find You - Johanna Lindsey

Let Love Find You was added to my latest collection, written by Johanna Lindsey. She is one of my favourite author!

Briefly about the book, it's a story about sweet, beautiful (and quite a talkative as well as bright) Amanda Locke - who still unmarried even after TWO Seasons (it's understandable since she already set on her mind that her would never settle for anything other then love) which cause her family to WORRY so much that they turn to Cupid - namely Devin Baldwin, to help her find her 'true love' (since she can't seems to decide whom she love anyway).

Such a confuse girl since she tried desperately not to choose WRONGLY. One day she met an Earl (who loves horse - MADLY), so she decided to take riding lesson (she can't ride - imagine that in THAT Era not to know how to ride a horse!) from Cupid Devin (that's his nickname anyway since he unintentionally matchmaking few marriages - he just get the knack) so she can ride with The Earl. Won't The Earl be thrilled to hear that she's take riding lesson just for him?

But who do you think will get her hand in marriage? The Cupid or The Earl? It's a fun and funny story since Mandy and Devin keep on bickering with each other, and it turn out that they are meant for each other (Enemy becomes Lover?)

At first when I bought this book, I didn't realise that Amanda is actually Raphael Locke, Viscount Lynnfield's little sister in The Devil Who Tamed Her by Johanna Lindsey. I read about her in that book, so it's quite fascinating because I knew now how she also finally find love - 3 year later!

Interesting right?! Buy it and you will love it like I do. Enjoy!

Books and I....

Hello! This is my first post so whoever you are, WELCOME.
As you (may) read any of post in my blog later on, you might realised that my English is not that good.
Yeah, I'm a Malay - Malaysia born, and English is not my mother tongue, Malay is. Malay language is similar with Indonesia Language (since we're neighbour anyway). So we learn English at school as our second language. But, I must admit (a little) my English is kinda OK and understandable.

Anyway, this blog is made as my dedication of books. I loves collecting books and I'm aiming to collect at least 1000 books before I'm 50! I'm 29 right now, so it's a looooooog way to go. Most of my books are first hand, so I want to keep it a good shape as possible (since I spend lots of money to buy them)

If you are a book lover just like me, I hope you have fun to!
Reading is so much fun - for those who appreciate it.
